“What Bill has planned is a piece for oxidized/corroded blank tape,
modulated by compressors w/ low thresholds and high comp. ratios…
imagine destructively compressed, BAD tape hiss, we love it.
Anyhow, this piece is clocking in at 30 minutes.
The other is a sound collage piece for electric guitar, shortwave radio and electronics. This is new, and Bill felt it might work into the evenings program after an intermission. It’s a textural piece emphasizing understated sounds of the electric guitar, compiled with live found sounds from the shortwave. ( for an old example of this strategy, listen to rqadii @ www.myspace.com/billbridges )”

THIS is gonna be off the hook! Finally Punk reunion: what? what! WHAT! And No Mas Bodas is my new favorite band. Like Finally Punk, they are also composed of four ladies. However the sound is very different. Cello, keyboards, sax, drum machine, guitar, and vocals à la Kate Bush/Tori Amos makes for a unique avant and super sexy sound.
Then we have of course! Another favorite for me, Cry Blood Apache, plus Total Abuse will bring in that male aggression to counter all those ladies but also back-up that female post-punks sound. Don’t know nothing bout Life Trap (TN), who are also playing & apparently sharing equipment w/ Total Abuse. This kicks off Finally Punk’s tour and also serves as Total Abuse’s Record Release Show
@ Triple Crown (206 N Edward Gary St, San Marcos, TX 78666)

Immanuel Kunt (Dark Lounge One Man Band from San Antonio)
Wax Museum Pandemonium (Dark Weird Folk Music from Austin) Attic Ted at 11pm (described on their myspace as “Throbbing Gristle at the Carnival”)
(( GAYLE GOLD is a new band composed of Sam V. of Gary Barftits on guitar and vocals, Winston C. of Bob & Barbara on drums, Chad A: of Low Red Center on two synthesizers, and Deena OH of Nanobangbang on vocals and misc. instruments that involve breath. Think prog / food / art rock. ))
