Kevin Bewersdorf has a sixth sense for subjects. He wakes up on a Wednesday and feels summoned to get in the car and head north on 183. He’s not quite sure what’s pulling him, but he’s got his camera ready– hoping to catch the subject that calls him.
Sometimes he waits hours and hours. Isn’t even sure what he’s doing there until he sees this:

Kevin’s favorite moment is right when the candid subject spots him. Snap.

Sometimes this puts him in danger. In the above case, the man started running straight for Kevin and Kevin ran straight for his car, ensuring his safety. This of course brings up the subject of privacy in a public place, for which he would assure you that a person outside in plain public view is no different than a capture of that person in plain public view on the internet. Kevin does not copyright any of his photographs.
Another important aspect of Kevin’s photography lies in the meaningful alignment. And the humor.

Kevin captures American stories with intention, irony, understanding, and even pride. His sense of composition and timing are on point. You can view more of Kevin’s photos here.
